Grey Eagle, St. Louis Mourns The Loss Of Jeff Clinton
Thousands Pay Their Respects
Thousands paid their respects to Jeff Clinton and his family during visitation at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood and hundreds more filled Basilica of St. Louis, The New Cathedral on Lindell, for his funeral mass. The funeral officially concluded several days of mourning by his family, friends and co-workers at Grey Eagle.

The tragic news of his death was received at mid-day on March 1 in St. Louis by his father Jerry, Grey Eagle Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who had the terrible task of notifying family members. complete story...

Jerry Clinton Thanks Employees Pledges To Reach Son's Goals
Grey Eagle Chairman Jerry Clinton wrote a letter thanking Grey Eagle employees for their support following the death of Jeff Clinton and pledging to meet the goals Jeff set for company.

"I want to thank each of you for helping me and my family endure the sorrow of my son Jeff's tragic death. It is a devastating loss for us and your prayers and kind words of support mean more than you can ever know.

Steve Nolan Named General Manager
Steven A. Nolan has been named Interim General Manager of Grey Eagle Distributors by Jerry G. Clinton, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Nolan has assumed a significant portion of the responsibilities of Grey Eagle President Jeffrey M. Clinton who died March 1. Mr. Nolan retains his title and responsibilities of Vice President — Finance.

He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned his degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was with the Peat Marwick accounting firm before joining Grey Eagle in 1985 as Controller.

 
 
         
   
Tributes Abound For Jeff Clinton
   
         
 

 

Jeff Clinton's family wishes to thank the thousands of people who have paid respects and tributes to him following his tragic death March 1.

Hundreds of sympathy cards and letters have been received and are being ac-knowledged as quickly as possible.

Members of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series signed a checkered flag and his co-driver Jeff Tilman drove a backward lap around the Homestead-Miami Speedway track in Jeff's memory on March 2. The tribute preceded the Nextel 250 race for which Mr. Clinton was practicing.

August A. Busch III, Chairman and President of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., asked for a moment of silence in New Orleans during a national sales meeting of Anheuser-Busch wholesalers. Mr. Clinton had planned to attend the meeting.

Similarly, moments of silence were observed before a St. Louis Blues hockey game at Savvis Center and before the St. Louis Cardinal's season opening game April 1 at Busch Stadium.

KMOV-TV televised a tribute to Mr. Clinton during its CBS coverage of the NCAA Final Four Tournament including games played by his alma mater, the University of Missouri at Columbia.
