Jeff Clinton's family wishes to thank the thousands of people
who have paid respects and tributes to him following his tragic
death March 1.
Hundreds
of sympathy cards and letters have been received and are being
ac-knowledged as quickly as possible.
Members
of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series signed a checkered
flag and his co-driver Jeff Tilman drove a backward lap around
the Homestead-Miami Speedway track in Jeff's memory on March
2. The tribute preceded the Nextel 250 race for which Mr.
Clinton was practicing.
August
A. Busch III, Chairman and President of Anheuser-Busch Companies,
Inc., asked for a moment of silence in New Orleans during
a national sales meeting of Anheuser-Busch wholesalers. Mr.
Clinton had planned to attend the meeting.
Similarly,
moments of silence were observed before a St. Louis Blues
hockey game at Savvis Center and before the St. Louis Cardinal's
season opening game April 1 at Busch Stadium.
KMOV-TV televised a tribute to Mr. Clinton during its CBS
coverage of the NCAA Final Four Tournament including games
played by his alma mater, the University of Missouri at Columbia.
