Eagle Has Successful Year, While Mourning Loss
Although 2002 has been another successful year for Grey Eagle, it
was marked by a tragedy that tested every member of the Grey Eagle
family.
The loss of my son Jeff in March stunned and saddened all of us
because he was in the prime of his life, poised to as-sume full
control of Grey Eagle and take it to greater heights. I appreciate
the many acts and expressions of kind-ness during that most difficult
time.

Clinton
Visits White House With Children’s Chorus
Grey Eagle President and Chairman Jerry G. Clinton, accompanied
the St. Louis Variety Club Children’s Chorus when they performed
at the White House December 10.
Mr. Clinton, who has underwritten the Children’s Chorus as
its Charter Sponsor since its inception two years ago, watched as
the choir performed a concert in the White House’s East Room
for First Lady Laura Busch as part of the White House Holiday Open
House. The Chorus is under the direction of Nance St. James.

Clinton Gives Keynote Address At Medal of Valor Luncheon
Grey Eagle
President and Chairman Jerry G. Clinton recently gave the keynote
address at a November 13 luncheon honoring Police Officers and civilians
as Medal of Valor winners at the Millennium Hotel.
He said many of the problems in today’s society could be solved
by a return to ethical behavior.

Beer May Protect Against Heart Disease
Dutch researchers said moderation consumption of beer may
provide some protection against heart disease. Reuters said
scientists believe that levels of C-reative protein (CRP),
a compound associated with blood clots, declined among middle-aged
adults who consumed three or four glasses of beer with dinner.
“An anti-inflammatory action of alcohol may help explain
the link between moderate alcohol consumption and lower cardiovascular
disease risk,” said Dr. HFJ Hendriks from TNO Nutrition
and Food
