On Date" Assures Freshness Of Anheuser-Busch Beers
Anheuser-Busch is reminding consumers that "fresh beer tastes
better."

A. Busch IV, newly-named President of Anheuser-Busch, Inc. "Since
Budweiser was first brewed in 1876, we've always strived to bring
consumers the freshest beer possible."
Although all
Anheuser-Busch beers feature the "Born On Date," Budweiser is supporting
itıs program with point-of-sale materials including imprintable
banners, table tents, freshness tip cards, date code cards and stickers.

Patrick
T. Stokes, August A. Busch IV Assume New Positions At Anheuser-Busch
The
Board of Directors of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. named Patrick
T. Stokes as President and Chief Executive Officer of the corporation.
Mr. Stokes succeeds August A. Busch III, who continues as Chairman
of the Board. The changes are effective July 1.
"Pat Stokes
is the right person to lead this corporation," said Busch III in
making the announcement. "He has been a member of senior management
for more than 25 years, demonstrating vision, leadership and analytical
skills in each assignment. Since 1990 he has led our beer company
to record performance. Pat has earned the Board of Directors' respect
and confidence."
Mr. Stokes,
59, joined Anheuser-Busch in 1969 in the Corporate Planning Department.
He became an officer of the company when he was named Vice President-Raw
Materials and Transportation in 1974. During the 1980s he served
as Chairman of the Board and President of Campbell-Taggart, Inc.,
a baked goods company that at that time was an Anheuser-Busch subsidiary.

Anheuser-Busch
Reports Records Sales, Earnings In First Quarter
Led
by continued strong growth in domestic beer operations and enhanced
growth from the international beer segment, Anheuser-Busch Companies,
Inc. achieved record first quarter sales and earnings, according
to August A. Busch III, Chairman of the Board and President.
"Anheuser-Busch
continues to deliver consistent, dependable earnings growth and
has now achieved fourteen consecutive quarters of solid double-digit
earnings per share growth," said Mr. Busch.
Anheuser-Busch
reported domestic beer sales to wholesalers of 24.6 million barrels,
an increase of 1.4 percent for the first quarter 2002 compared to
the first quarter 2001.
The company's
domestic market share (excluding exports) for the first quarter
2002 was 49.5 percent compared to 2001 market share of 49.7 percent.
Domestic market share is determines based on an estimated beer industry
sales increase of 1.9 percent, using information provided by the
Beer Institute and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Grey Eagle's charitable foundation has been renamed the Jeffrey
M. Clinton Memorial Foundation according to Grey Eagle General
Manager and Vice PresidentFinance Steven A. Nolan.
"The
change reflects the intention of Jeff's family that his name
is perpetually associated with his generosity in life," Mr.
Nolan said. "Charitable funds will be made available to worthy
organizations throughout the community."
The
Foundation is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charity and contributions
to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Contributions may be
sent to the Foundation at 2340 Millpark Drive, Maryland Heights,
MO 63043.
Mr.
Clinton was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Grey
Eagle when his car crashed March 1 during practice for a sports
car race in Florida.
