  Jim Lampson, center, and his daughter Elizabeth Pursley, are joined by Grey Eagle Sales Assistant Chris Woodfin at an October party celebrating Jim's Arcade Lanes in University City. The landmark bowling alley was destroyed by fire in July, almost 45 years after it opened in 1959. Jim had photographs and bowling memorabilia saved from the fire on display at the party which was attended by many Arcade Lanes patrons and friends.  
     

 

   

Brett Bennett has joined Webster Groves High School classmates Chris Marshall and Scott Kemper to open Llywelyn’s Pub, 17 Moody Avenue in Webster Groves. Brett is a former Grey Eagle Sales Representative. The new pub joins Llywelyn’s Pub at West Port Plaza. Scott reports that business is great at the new location . . . Romano's Macaroni Grill, 963 Chesterfield Center, added the wildly popular Michelob Ultra on tap.

Syberg’s held a grand opening in June at its newest location at West Port, 2430 Old Dorsett in Maryland Heights . . . Charlack Pub, 8334 Lackland, had Budweiser specials at its June Bike Show to raise money for the March of Dimes . . . Double D Lounge, 2219 S. Brentwood, held its annual Budweiser/MS Fund-raiser July 26 . . . the Crestwood Elks Club hosted a Trivia Night fund raiser for Special Olympics put on by members of the St. Louis County Police Department.

Celebrations galore! Domenico’s Italian Restaurant, 1595 North Highway 67 in Florissant, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary . . . and it was five-year anniversaries for Fucifino Café, 9367 Natural Bridge and Applebee’s, 1095 Chesterfield Parkway.

And marking their one-year anniversaries were St. Louis All Star Restaurant & Bar, 14810 Clayton and Piper’s Pub, 10010 W. Florissant.

 

 
 
     
  Michelob AmberBock, Michelob specialty brews and Redhook beers were featured in Growler Pub's OctoberFest promotion at its Creve Coeur location. The event benefited St. Louis charities.  
     

 

     
   In Memoriam

Grey Eagle extends its sincere sympathy to the family of Bernard "Bernie" Lorson who died July 29. He and his wife Marjorie owned The Hive, 609 North New Ballas Road in Creve Coeur, for more than 16 years.
